Nurturing Your Soul's Journey Towards Wholeness

Walking with God through Spiritual Direction

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

-Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus

Mary Stewart, Certified Spiritual Director

(Listening People to Life, Kairos University)

Growing up in a small town in southern Minnesota has given me the heart of a farm girl loving all things growing. I’m curious and experiment with growing plants and flowers much like I love seeing people grow, noticing their eyes reflecting what’s in their soul. Although I’ve been newly trained as a Spiritual Director, I have been listening to people in a similar way for many years in my role at Lakeside Church and looking forward to joining you on your journey.

What is it?

Spiritual Direction is a spiritual discipline that goes back to the early church. Whatever you are walking through, I will set aside time and prayerful space to walk alongside you in your spiritual life. This is a time for you to leave behind the pressures of the day and embrace the simple gifts of the present moment, opening up to hear from God and learn to move at his pace. I would be so privileged to accompany you on your spiritual journey!

“I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!" - Psalm 121:1-2 NLT
